SeBIN Technology Workgroup:
Attached is a proposal for assignment and maintenance of SeBIN payer identifiers and for access to the associated directory.
In this proposal Enumeron will (i) register existing 5-character SeBIN Payer Identifiers for use in Workers’ Compensation transactions, (ii) assign new identifiers on behalf of SeBIN, (iii) assure uniqueness of the identifiers, (iv) provide data maintenance service for each identifier, and (v) make the identifiers and associated data accessible through an on-line e-directory.
Enumeron will also assign the corresponding 10-digit ISO Standard U.S. Health Care Payer or Trading Partner Identifier to each SeBIN identifier, in that way providing a 1-to-1 correspondence between the two identifiers, such that given one identifier, a program can instantly calculate the other. Enumeron will cross-reference SeBIN identifiers with other identifiers for payers, health plans, and trading partners, such as the 6-digit NCPDP BIN number and 5-digit NAIC CoCode.
